Tawny Barn
The little stone barn has stood in this lovely spot since at least 1820, and was in use around the farm only a few years ago. Its new purpose as a holiday destination seems to suit it perfectly. Thoroughly and sympathetically restored.

TOWN and COUNTRYSIDE
Tan Y Foel (Tan-err-voil) means "Beneath the Bald Hill", which describes it perfectly. On a clear day, the view from the top of the Foel is from Snowdonia to the Shropshire hills. But in the shelter of the hill, where sheep and cattle graze the farmland, Tanyfoel is typical of the green and gentle landscape of Montgomeryshire.
Two miles away is the small Georgian market town of Llanfyllin with shops, pubs and restaurants. Historic Oswestry and Welshpool are each ten miles away.
